Computer Memory And Slow Pc Performance - I will be having troubles with slow performance on my Dell PC. It only has 256 MB of RAM and i also am considering upgrading, however it seems to be slower than back in the day. Before I upgrade the memory, I wish to Be sure there aren't other problems. I've run software to completely clean the registry and also am current in my antivirus and spyware protection software. A very important factor I have noticed is that the page file always seems to be pretty near to maxed out. Is that this a symbol which i need more memory or possibly there some other method to free up space. I am also curious about programs that open when I start laptop. Will there be a set of "standard" applications i should be prepared to see running in the shadows?
